Alex G, you are correct---the vCloud Suite SKU does make it only easier to buy. Hopefully the "easier to deploy and use" portions will come soon. :-)

Description of software defined networking is bound to be vague in keynote given the audience and time limitations. Interesting to see what comes out in the way of new details - hope you can blog it.

SW defined for most people mean programmatic as well as opposed to GUI defined which is traditional strength of VMW + plenty of it's customers. I wonder how the customer base will embrace it.

Thanks for the live blogging!

Just a couple of things that caught my eye:

1) "VMware’s new vCloud Suite, which will include vSphere, vCloud Director... all rolled into a single SKU to make it easier to buy, deploy, and use."

Doesn't make them any easier to deploy or use. Just easier to buy. :)

2) "introduction of Enhanced vMotion, which is VMware’s ability to perform live migration without shared storage"

Wait, up until now Enhanced vMotion has referred to EVC mode where you can vMotion between different classes of CPUs. Are they changing the term Enhanced vMotion?
