4:00 PM to 5:00 PM – BC2214 – Advanced HA Troubleshooting

As you can see, there are some gaps in the schedule. First, I’ve specifically blocked off time to go to the vendor pavilion and talk to some vendors about their products. This is something that I always say I’ll get around to doing, but never actually make it. This year I decided to fix that by scheduling time specifically for that. Second, I’m working with SearchVMware.com again this year on some stuff, so there’s time set aside for that. Finally, my boss has scheduled some meetings with various people while I’m there, so I had to set aside time for that as well.

If you’re interested in catching up with me this year, shoot me an e-mail and let me know. I’ll do my best to meet with you while I’m there. In addition, I’m getting in early before the conference and not leaving until the Friday afternoon, so I might be able to meet with someone outside the conference days themselves.

If you’re attending and have a session suggestion for me, feel free to shout out in the comments below. Thanks!

Hey Scott, hope to meet you, been following your blog for a while. You don’t happen to know if the Vendor Pavilion is open on Monday the 15th? VMWorld website is no help at all.

I don’t know, unfortunately. Normally I would be involved in Partner Day, but this year it looks like I won’t be. It would be tremendously hlepful if the Vendor Pavilion were open and available on Monday. Let me know if you find out, if you would.

Got the word via the VMWorld forums. Solution Exchange is open from 5:30 to 7:30 on Monday. 5:30 is the Welcome reception and the exhibit area doesn’t open until then. That kind of sucks, my schedule was counting on Monday to do the entire Solution Exchange. *sigh*

I looked over your schedule and I am in a few of the same sessions: TA2268 & PO2061. I have read your blog for awhile now and have found it to be very informative. Hope to run into you and say thanks.

Hi Scott — I’d like you to consider meeting at VMworld with my client, eG Innovations, a global supplier of management software for virtual and physical IT infrastructures. eG Enterprise software already supports ESX and ESXi servers plus Solaris Containers. Just before VMworld, they’re announcing support for CitrixXen Servers and Sun LDOMs as well as further enhancements for VMware.

The company has production VMware installations at two top-5 banks, so they’re getting significant market penetration. The company’s booth is 1419. Please respond via email about a time to meet during the show. You can also call my cell (617/620-3882) during the show to coordinate things.

    Many thanks for your consideration.

    BillB,

I’ve already spoken with some gentlemen from eG Innovations before, but if they are interested in meeting again, have them contact me and set up a meeting on Monday afternoon. I’m scheduling vendor meetings on Monday before the start of VMworld on Tuesday, since my time during the conference itself will be limited.
