The COMSTAR project looks very interesting indeed. There is another open source project that has a similar oriented FC Target implementation in the planning, it's OpenFiler. The Release Candidate 2.3 of OpenFiler is now available, and it allows you to enable some qla2xxx controllers in target mode. I haven't had the time to test it myself, but it looks very promising.
OpenFiler also supports storage replication towards a 2nd OpenFiler, I guess it's just a matter of time before someone will adapt SRM to work on two OpenFiler's.</description>
