  When using NFS to recover a VMDK you don&#039;t have to manually copy files from the snapshot. You can use single file snap restore from the array

Power down the VM
Rename the VMDK files: mv  
Go to the FAS console 
Pick a snapshot and restore the vmdk Snapshot 

snap restore â€“t file -s   

Restart VM 

Delete the previously renamed VMDK file(s)</description>
