Hello!

> kernel hackers seem to favor (how surprising…) KVM over Xen.

Why surprising ???

Very interesting analysis.

What you describe is exactly the what is happening on the "default virtualization solution for Linux" battlefield, which opposes Xen (OS agnosticism) and KVM (Application agnosticism). If one can judge the winner by what has been accepted so far in Linus' tree, kernel hackers seem to favor (how surprising...) KVM over Xen.
