It has the correct schema revision for Windows Server 2003 R2, which is different than the AD schema for "regular" Windows Server 2003. Have a Win2k3 DC, I want to DCPromo an additionnal DC but this time with Win2K3 R2 and it sitll gives me the error "The version of the Active Directory schema of the source forest is not compatible with the version of Active Directory on this computer".
